But among the interview’s most touching and unforgettable moments was when 50 Cent related how he first met Eminem—a story that aptly encapsulates the close friendship, business partnership, and musical collaboration that the two have enjoyed for many years.
“Recall that show they had? That’s what it felt like. “Punk’d” on MTV? I assumed that since they were filming, they would declare, “You’ve been punked.”
Subsequently, he disclosed that he had on a ballistic vest when he initially encountered Eminem, a revelation that caught the Detroit rapper off guard as he embraced 50 Cent with great anticipation.
50 Cent became even more dubious about what was going on as a result of this response.
“He flew me to L.A., right?” 50 Cent went on. “I made my debut. I left the airport wearing the vest and s**t on because I was so freaked out by the whole thing.
