According to a recent study, some persons with Alzheimer’s disease may not exhibit any medical symptoms while they are still alive. This finding could help us better understand how to treat the condition.
According to academics, the results may lead to a greater understanding of how some people live to be 90 or even 100 years old in good health without the need for medicine or brain damage, according to Independent.
Scientists evaluated brain tissues from the Netherlands Brain Bank, which included samples from more than 5,000 deceased brain donors with a variety of illnesses.
The brain bank maintains the complete disease course and documented medical history along with the symptoms of each donor.
The researchers identified a cohort of patients with Alzheimer’s disease processes in their brains who did not exhibit any symptoms while they were still living, referring to them as “resilient” patients.

The scientists discovered numerous processes were changed when they investigated the gene activity in the brains of the group members.
