During Al Nassr’s draw with rival team Al Hilal, Cristiano Ronaldo was ridiculed by their supporters once more.
Ronaldo has had an opulent 18 months since relocating to the Middle East, scoring 56 goals and dishing out 15 assists in just 61 games for Al-Nassr, according to All Football.
The fans of his opposition team have frequently teased him during his lengthy rivalry with Lionel Messi during his tenure in the Saudi Pro League (SPL).
Both Ronaldo and Messi are the two most notable players of their generation, having combined to win 13 Ballon d’Or awards and other championships. But the debate over who is superior in the game has always persisted.
Friday night’s 1-1 tie between Al Nassr and Al Hilal saw additional derisive shouts directed towards Cristiano Ronaldo.
The night had started off nicely for Ronaldo as he set up Otavio’s goal within the first minute, putting his team ahead. But eventually, the opposing team’s fans began to jeer at him, chanting “Messi, Messi.”
