Kelly Clarkson teamed up with Rivers Cuomo and Patrick Wilson on Weezer’s version of Say It Ain’t So on her show this week.
Wilson and Cuomo, Weezer band members, appeared on May 15 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show and joined forces with the Stronger singer to perform a duet rendition of Say It Ain’t So.
Clarkson also talked about the band’s 30th anniversary of 1994 debut album.
The episode kicked off with a dynamic performance during the Kellyoke segment, featuring Chris Cuomo and Kelly Clarkson sharing lead vocals. Clarkson brought her signature powerhouse vocals to the table, belting out the lyrics with enthusiasm.
She squatted down and raised her arms in the air in a triumphant pose, expressing her delight following the high-energy performance.
It’s the greatest day ever. This took place. “Until now, I’ve never felt this cool in my life,” the 41-year-old talk show presenter gushed. “I’m trying to be cool and not smile.”
The next day, Weezer shared a post saying that Clarkson “gave us a run for our money on Kellyoke.”
During the performance, the band members also talked about their future tour, which would honor Weezer (Blue Alum) and its classics, including Buddy Holly, Say It Ain’t So, and Undone — The Sweater Song.
