WHO Highlights Climate Change Impact on Human Health

The rocket’s first launch in April 2023 exploded minutes after takeoff, about 40 km (25 miles) above the earth. Furthermore, in the November effort, Starship made it to space for the first time before exploding shortly after.

In March, the spacecraft completed a significantly longer mission than planned in an attempt to return from orbit, breaking apart in Earth’s atmosphere.

The rocket will fly again on Thursday, but its goal is to travel farther than it did in its previous test.

The rocket system’s first stage, “Super Heavy,” fired its 33 Raptor engines in order to take off. After that, it was supposed to split off from the Starship’s second stage and launch itself farther into space.

She added: โ€œThis evidence is critically important, because it shows the leading health risks for each of these groups for these different climate events.โ€

Climate-related health risks โ€œhave been crucially underestimatedโ€ for younger and older people and during pregnancy, โ€œwith serious, often life-threatening implicationsโ€, showed the collection of articles published in theย Journal of Global Health, she noted.

As per the studiesโ€™ finding, climate-related natural hazards have some โ€œserious mental and physical health impactsโ€ in pregnancy, and for younger and older people.

For example, preterm births, which now are the leading cause of childhood deaths, โ€œincrease during heatwaves, whereas, older people are more likely to suffer heart attacks or respiratory distressโ€, noted the authors.

Heatwaves also โ€œaffect cognitive function and therefore learning for children and adolescentsโ€, they reported.

Moreover, 2023 as the hottest year on record has been confirmed by the World Meteorological Organizationโ€™s State of Global Climate report. They also predict that global temperatures over โ€œthe entire five-year 2024-2028 period will exceed 1.5 degrees centigrade above the pre-industrial era,โ€ which scientists warn could lead to instantaneous and unchangeable changes in the climate.
