Speaking through a spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, Esmaeil Baghaei stated on Thursday that Iran considers the Group of Seven (G7) denunciation of its attack on Israel to be “biased and irresponsible.”
Iran announced that it was retaliating for the assassinations of Hezbollah commanders and the aggression in Gaza and Lebanon by firing more than 180 missiles into Israel on Tuesday.
Along with Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Hezbollah, Abbas Nilforoushan, a deputy commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, also perished in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut a week ago.
The leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) denounced Tehran’s attack in a statement on Wednesday. They expressed โstrong concernโ for the issue in the Middle East but said a diplomatic solution was still conceivable and a region-wide conflict was in no oneโs interest.
“As a result of their armament, financial support, and political backing of the aggressing party (Israel), the G7 countriesโparticularly the United Statesโhave a clear responsibility for the growing insecurity and instability in West Asia, according to the Foreign Ministry’s statement.kjj
