ISLAMABAD According to the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Commission (Suparco), a solar storm has encircled the planet Earth, potentially endangering communications satellites.
Due to material and energy released by the Sun, which endangers satellites, power grids, and space stations, geomagnetic storms are headed toward Earth.
Three Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) are presently en route to Earth, a representative for Suparco said. On August 7, the first two M-class solar flares were fired.
Earth Surrounded By Solar Storm Risking
The spokesperson stated that further M-class flares had been produced from the Sun’s surface, although the initial CMEs were very little in comparison to the third X1.3-class solar flare, which is far more powerful than these.
Over the course of the next three to four days, Earth is predicted to feel the effects of plasma and magnetic waves emanating from the Sun’s surface.
Earth confronts storm-related risks when the sun reaches its zenith because of the potential for radio blackouts, satellite malfunctions, and disruptions to GPS and cell phone networks.
