Who can apply for UAE’s new 10-year Blue Visa?

According to The National News, the United Arab Emirates has launched a new long-term residency visa that will let holders stay in the nation for ten years.

Those who have made “exceptional contributions” to environmental conservation will be eligible to apply for the Blue Visa.

The new Blue Visa is an attempt by the government to draw in more talent and persuade people to live in the nation, following in the footsteps of the Golden Visa, which likewise grants foreign nationals a 10-year residency.

In recent years, a number of other programs have also been launched, including green and remote working visas.

To whom is the new Blue Visa open?
According to sources, the visa will be awarded based on the applicant’s environmental contributions. This entails making efforts to save marine and terrestrial species, advance sustainable technology, and enhance air quality.

How do you submit an application?
“Sustainability advocates and experts who are interested in the UAE Blue Residency are invited to submit their applications directly through the services of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security, or through nominations by competent authorities in the state for the individuals recommended for it,” reads an official statement on the website of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai.
