ISLAMABAD The Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), a department linked to the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, exported about 100 female nurses to a health firm in Malaysia in response to the country’s spike in need for healthcare personnel.
According to an official who spoke with APP on Thursday, the need for female nurses in Malaysia is growing over time as a result of the highly skilled and knowledgeable medical staff that is already employed in the country’s many hospitals.
He said that OEC already had announced that application from job seekers to apply for Malaysia and prescribed qualifications and experience.
He informed that 100 nurses were required for ICU with the diploma in nursing or Bachelor of science in nursing 16 or post RN from recognised institution.
The candidate should have registration from the Nursing Council and a minimum of 3 years related working experience in the hospital setting.
He said specialised post-basic training in OT/ICU and pediatric would be preferred, and age not more than 45 years. The basic monthly salary would be RM3,000-RM4,500.
The health firm would provide allowance per month including general nursing allowance for pediatric nurse, specialised allowance for ICU and OT.
The allowances include specialised allowance RM1,100, general nursing allowance RM700, degree allowance RM400, and post basic allowance RM800.
The official also shared the terms and conditions of employment contract as the salary of the confirmed employee will be reviewed in March each year based on the individual employeeโs performance and salary position to market and the payout of salary increment is backdated to January, he added.
One-month bonus for every year of service upon completion of the contract period, while bonus is payable upon completion of the two-year contract.
