Rapper Latto has accused her father of stealing from her and thinking she is a member of the Illuminati, among other startling claims. The 24-year-old musician discussed their tense relationship and revealed these findings in a quick Instagram Story post on Wednesday. Latto responded to a story about a touching exchange between a father and his pilot daughter on social media with a message that had laughing emojis. “Awww my dad steals from me & tell everyone I’m in the Illuminati,” wrote Latto.
Fans on social media were confused by the remark because many thought Latto had defended her father before. On X (previously Twitter), a user posed the question, “Since when? I felt she was constantly bragging about her father. It seems like I missed a season. “The same dad that saved her from gettin beat up by SupaPeach some years back at some music festival, that dad?!?” inquired another admirer, bringing up an earlier incident.
Latto has spoken about her difficult relationship with her father in her music. On the track “No Hook,” she rhymes, “Lost the bond with my daddy for some money and a buzz / Swear the industry the devil, sh*t, it is what it was.” Latto has supported her father in the past, including during a 2022 fight with Nicki Minaj, despite her current remarks to the contrary. “Loud & wrong again,” the rapper retorted to Minaj’s suggestion that Latto’s parents were much apart in age. Despite being in high school and being bookies, they were still married, lol.”
