In response to Toni Kroos’ announcement that he will hang up his boots after the 2024 European Championship with Germany, Cristiano Ronaldo recently offered a supportive message to his former Real Madrid teammate.
In a supportive remark on Kroos’s tweet, the Al Nassr actor said, “For everything and so much more, Toni. How wonderful it is to have you share the field. Best wishes for the future.
Following Kroos’ unexpected statement, a number of other prominent players, including the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, sent their respects.
Together, Ronaldo, 39, and Kroos, 34, won 11 titles during their four years on the Real Madrid team.
Among these are three Champions League crowns, three UEFA Super Cups, three FIFA Club World Cups, one La Liga, and one Supercopa de Espaรฑa.
From 2014 to 2018, they dominated the football field as the dynamic duo.
Before facing Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final on June 1, Kroos will play his final La Liga match with Real Madrid on Saturday against Real Betis.
On June 14, his German team will play Scotland in their Euro 2024 campaign opener.
