In Tai’an city, Shandong province, eastern China, a bus struck a gathering of pupils and parents outside a middle school on Tuesday morning.
11 people died and 13 people were injured in the incident, which happened after 7 a.m., according to police and state media reports. According to Xinhua News Agency, the youngsters were anticipating entering the school gate when the incident occurred.
Six parents and five students perished in the collision.
Of the thirteen injured, one is critically ill, the others are stable.
The bus driver is being held by the police while the reason of the collision is being looked into.
