An intriguing discovery is made in the Saturday Night Live teaser: Sabrina Carpenter put an end to everyone’s speculation regarding the origin of her last name.
Jake Gyllenhaal will host the NBC comedy sketch’s season finale, with the Expresso hitmaker serving as the musical guest. Bowen Yang joined the duo in the promo.
“Where does the name ‘Carpenter’ come from?” Gyllenhaal and Yang posed to the singer during the third take of the promo.
The humorous response from the 25-year-old American singer and actress was, “It comes out of the woodwork.”
After complimenting the Road House star and the 33-year-old comedian on their singing in the first segment of the promo, Carpenter made this joke.
Yang said to the singer at first, “Sabrina, your song is stuck in my head!”
Carpenter made it clear that the song wasn’t hers when he began to sing it. “Oh, that’s not my song, I don’t think.”
But Gyllenhaal cut her short, adding, “Yes, it is,” and then he joined Yang to perform a vocal solo.
The Tall Girl actress is impressed with their performance and can’t help but give them praise for their portrayal.
