The protracted conflict between her ex-partner Reed Williams and fellow influencer Halley Kate has finally been addressed by TikTok star Sophia La Corte.
Days after Halley and Sophia attended an influencer event together, an anonymous Reddit post shortly before Halley’s video purported to show Sophia and Reed cuddling at a New York City club. Halley responded by sharing a number of since-deleted TikToks in which she vented her annoyance and said, “Ladies, let me be your lesson. Never defend or feel sorry for a man.” In addition, she said that Sophia had started chasing Reed soon after their split.

Halley and Reed resumed their romance in early 2024 and are still together in spite of the upheaval. Sophia, meantime, broke her silence on the subject on Sunday by posting a number of TikTok videos.
Sophia explained her side of the story in her videos. She explained that she had only had a few encounters with Halley and refuted any suggestion that she had pursued Reed on purpose. Sophia clarified, “He’s single,” and said she didn’t feel compelled to reply to Halley’s messages.
The assertions that Sophia found Reed via looking through Halley’s Instagram following list were refuted by Sophia, who called them a “complete lie.” She disclosed that a week prior to the influencer gathering, Reed had scheduled their date. “I would never DM anyone while I’m standing next to anyone ever,” she said.
In her farewell video, Sophia read out the derogatory remarks she had received at the height of the controversy, but she also advised her fans to “keep your head up” and not trust everything they see online. In apparent response to Sophia’s remarks, Halley uploaded films talking about authenticity and the difficulties of overcoming hate speech and online rumors.
