T20 World Cup 2024: Green Shirts hold training session ahead of USA clash

DALLAS: The Pakistan cricket team held an intensive training session on Tuesday ahead of their opening match against the United States of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024.

The players went through the training session which they split into two segments.

The morning session was dedicated to the batters, who practised at the indoor nets from 11am to 2pm in Dallas. They focused on honing their batting skills in a controlled environment.

It was due to the match between Netherlands and Nepal at the Grand Prairie Stadium that the pitch was unavailable for practice. However, the team made the most of the available facilities.

In the afternoon, the players worked on their fielding and bowling at the Grand Prairie Stadium. The players also practised high catches near the boundaries, ensuring that they were well-prepared for every situation of the game.

Assistant coach Azhar Mehmood worked closely with the fast bowlers throughout the session.

Pakistan will begin their World Cup campaign by playing against the US on June 6 (tomorrow).
