Users can now test out WhatsApp’s closed chat functionality on connected devices.
The Meta software, especially for its online version, has been planning to give its customers more devices and safe chats. However, for the time being, you may access the Android security feature in the beta avatar if you have linked your WhatsApp account to a different phone.
In addition to the device biometrics that were already in place, Meta provided an extra layer of protection by introducing the conversation locking feature, which prevented unauthorised access.
In the most recent Android beta version, WhatsApp chats that are locked on the primary device will also automatically lock on any related devices.
Currently, a small number of users are being tested for the feature in the new Android version 2.24.11.9 in beta. This week, Wabetainfo released a screenshot of the functionality that is now undergoing testing. It is evident that the Locked Chat folder is located at the top of the Linked Device’s WhatsApp main screen.
The most important feature of the new tool is that you will need to generate a secret code from the primary device settings in order for the chat lock PIN to function for the Linked Device.
The primary characteristic of the new tool is that you will have to create a new PIN because the Linked Device will not accept the one you already have for the chat lock.
According to the beta version, all you have to do to save yourself the hassle of setting up a secret code on every device connected to your primary WhatsApp account is set it once on the primary account device.
